response from jc:

wrt HIV transmission, The above from Kevin Saldanha is misleading.

NOBODY can conclude that abstinence and fidelity does not work.

I'd like to ask: HOW can HIV spread (with minor exceptions - vide infra) in
a situation of Abstinence and Fidelity?

What has been criticised is the fairy tale that 100% abstinence and
fidelity actually exists or will ever exist. The fairy tale right-wingers
and their equally stupid left wingers are holding the world's children and
the world's blood supply at ransom with their diametrically opposite
positions.

There is a compromise which will benefit everyone. One which promotes
extramarital Abstinence and intramarital Fidelity with the judicious use of
Condoms, and the availability of inexpensive antiHIV medications + proper
care for the HIV infected.

BUT, it appears that these extreme wingnuts from the right and the left ....
have their own intolerant agenda.

The following was my response to the holyspiritinteractive email I received
yesterday

good wishes

jc

JC's response to response to the holyspiritinteractive:

I wish our Catholic sites would stop this bogus nonsense. It is embarassing
for me as a physician to sit in meetings ....and be told about this sort of
stuff from allegedly Catholic publications.

Here is a simple scenario for the so called Catholic chaps who have their
head in the sand :

Woman is HIV negative; Her husband is HIV +ve (He is a surgeon who got
accidentaly infected)

What should they do? .... Abstain from sexual contact?, use the condom? or
just seek a divorce?

good wishes
