Therefore the Strategic Partnership Program ONLY allows the use of the Strategic Partner logo -----AND DOES NOT VALIDATE ---------the training that is being conducted. The program that accredits schools and their training is our IATA UFTAA Accredited Training Centre & IATA FIATA Accredited Training Centre programmes. Following this reply recieved by SGPIAG, the CMTES ceased from putting this logo on all the advertisements on local dailies thereafter, viz; using IATA and strategic partnership logos, but failed to remove the same from their hoardings. We therefore pursued the issue "de novo" and after repeated reminders we have now finally recieved an email as under: ******************************************************* Dear Mr. Mazarelo, IATA has already written to Mr. Prabhagar, CMD of CMTES informing him that CMTES's Strategic Partnership will NOT be re-newed unless they also apply and qualify as an IATA UFTAA Accredited Training Centre first. In this, Mr. Prabhagar is already in communications with IATA for the procedures for qualifying for the IATA UFTAA ATC program. Through this program CMTES will have: IATA accredited instructors IATA authorised curriculum IATA validated examinations IATA certificates for successful candidates I hope this should allay your apprehensions. Please do feel free to write to us in case you seek further clarifications. Many thanks & best regards. As they would have paid for a course which does not have IATA recognition and the huge fees have gone waste. It is indeed shocking that the Government of Goa allows such dubious institutions to set up shop and dupe the gullible students of SSC and XII. Earlier M/s Frankfinn had also done the same. Though they continue to give an impression that many of their students have got employment on airlines. It is definitely not because of the validity of the Certificate but the personality traits of the chosen few, which have got them on airlines. Mr Faleiro's reply to this issue was that the KNOWLEDGE COMISSION of Goa headed by Dr Peter De Souza ex Goa University, is addressing this issue and their report is awaited. It is the desire of SGPIAG that the Goa Government should order an investigation into both M/s Frankfinn and M/s CMTES and we at SGPIAG would be ready to assist the Goa Government in this task. Meanwhile it is also our earnest request to all advertising managers of local news audio or visual media to ascertain the credentials of institutions advertising with them even if it amounts to losing gross revenue needed for funding their publications. Atleast when an institution like SGPIAG a regd NGO has exposed the irregularities they ought to have ceased from accepting advertisements. It is also a fact that though fees range from around Rupees fifty thousand and a lac; the facilities at the Institutions the credentials of the tutors to impart training in the field has not been assessed by any Government body.
