worked in Iraq during Gulf War and my remittance
amount of ID 2718.003 deposited by my employer
NINEVAH OBEROI, Mosul in AL RASHEED BANK, Iraq is
pending.
I had received letter from Embassy of India, Baghdad
dated 5.6.93 contents mentioned below:
Further to our letter of even number dated 23.2.93
regarding remittance of an amount I.D 2718.003
deposited by your employer with Al-Rasheed Bank.
We have received a reply from Iraqi Foreign Office
stating that the said amount is in Rasheed Bank but
due to the freezing of Iraqi assets abroad, they are
not in a position to remit it and that they will
consider the remittance of the same after UN economic
sanctions are lifted.
