An interesting tidbit from Derek O'Brien's *The Mumbai Factfile*
(2003, Penguin Books, India Rs 250):
In the early 1980s, eminent architect Charles Correa introduced the
concept of 'bungalows in the sky' for one of Mumbai's skyscrapers.
By the early 1980s many old-time bungalows were demolished to
make way for countless high-rises all over the city, giving it the
typical 'concrete jungle' landscape. However, Charles Correa, who
designed the palatial Kanchenjunga on Peddar Road gave this
towering residential building the 'bungalow-like' feel, thereby
himself introducing these unique lifestyle homes. p 85.
