Hi Everyone,
When researching Jesus' possible trek through Goa, I came across the
southern trek of St. Francis Xavier through Salcete. Apparently he visited
Velim, Goa. But the noise of the brisk blacksmith business near the village
square there was too loud for him to bear so he turned back north from
there. So Velim, Goa was the southernmost point of his trek through Goa. No
wonder the Church in Velim is named St. Francis Xavier's Church.
As far as Jesus' possible trek through Goa is concerned, he might have only
trekked through the northern parts of Goa. He surely did not visit Salcete.
And as a Proud Shastikar, that should spell the end of my trek for Jesus'
tracks through Goa ! I dont want to prove that Bardez was more hallowed
ground for Catholics than Salcete !
