Thanks Domnic bab for the article on Robin Vaz. Late Robin Vaz also known as the barytone Foklorist of the konkani stage was like a giant on stage. I remember one incident in JP Souzalin's Tiatr - St. Francis Xavier. Robin and Greg were acting as Roman soldiers and suddenly when he was acting a seriuous scene, Robins hand hit hard on Gregs face. Ofcourse Greg was in pain and Robin and full crowd burst out in laughter.
When he was singing his famous song 'Backbaychem Varem' in Bandra a fellow goan commented ...'Kitem re Robin, pottant Backbaychem Varem bhorlam'..:)..
