Tollem Mine Tragedy 9th Dec.: 5 of the 6 bodies found yesterday, 27th Dec. 2006, 5th body of Mr. Edwin Fernandes (28) found. His body was found in his Volvo Truck Cabin after 18 days. It took them about 5 hours to retrieve the highly decomposed body However, his clothes were intact, besides, cash over Rs.11,000, ATM Card, a gold Chain, driving license and a rosary also found. The body was then handed over to his family and funeral took place at collem same day.
Where as the last one Mr. sunny Bhandari' s body recovery could take days as he was a supervisor doing his job on foot. Other 4 bodies were found along with the trucks/vehicles.
