Today's HERALD had this article on the commissioning of INS Shardul in
Karwar/Seabird. In it there was this good one: "He said that the Indian Navy
had to guard the east coast of Africa(!), Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and
beyond(!) for safeguarding the security and merry time(!) interest of the
nation." In the very next sentence too it says "...challenges of protecting
the merry time and security interest of the country." If it is actually the
'merry time' interests that are being guarded then is it actually that of
the nation --- or Goa or the Navy? Cheers.
