We celebrate the feast of any saint to learn about his or her life and to make
our lives as theirs. Sitting in the bars and drinking is not a part of any
feast. That is actually what is happening in Goa . We celebrate one thousand
feasts, and what is going down our throat is a drink in large quantities
spoiling our physical health, mental and spiritual also. Why blame Parrikar ?
The church itself has made this rule not to serve liquor for funnerals, or when
having a party in the church hall etc. Parikar did the right thing. Gulping
down liquor in large quantities is not a part of any feast. We go to church to
pray and ask God to rid us of paganism, greed, anger, etc
