This weekend, in our joyous city of Toronto, the following took place:

1) A SFX feast celebration at my local church complete with an outstanding
choir that performed in Konkani. The celebration included a procession in snow
flurries and a bazaar that sold every thing from Goan sausages, to coconut
vinegar imported from Goa, to sanaa's made that very same morning, served with
sorpotel.

2)An SFX feast Saturday night dinner dance at a leading banquet hall.

3)A children's choir performing Christmas carols, both old and new on a Sunday
afternoon.

4)A festival of choirs at a Catholic church that produced just the kind of
music to deliver one into the Xmas mood. My favourite choir at this event was
conducted by one of the better known/(beloved?) musicians from Dar es Salaam.

PS - for those interested, this is my favourite moment of the weekend. Here are
the Canadian kids of Catholic immigrants from Pakistan, performing, "Go, go,
go, go, gold."
