With the media, vested interests and rattled political parties bombarding the
public with usual double speak and clever jargon, the AAP has clarified a) No
time was sought as headlined in the news but the LG told Kejriwal to come back
when he has the majority b)The debuting party is not arrogant or dictatorial or
making baseless allegations as alleged but wants to expose the real intentions
of the Congress and BJP. They obviously will not want to commit political
harikari and use every trick in and out of the book to fix this nascent party.
Hence "novice" AAP has inter alia, specifically asked them their views in
writing on:1. Ending the VIP syndrome ,no red lights for Ministers/MPs and
officials (SC has already ruled on this point) and stop demanding security for
themselves. 2. MLPAD scheme to end and money goes to Mohalla Sabhas which will
have more decision making powers, and decide on expenditure. 3. Passing of Jan
Lokpal bill 4.Support AAP if their leaders found corrupt 5. Full Statehood and
oppose FDI in Delhi 6. Audit of Electrical dept, support AAP on issues of
electric meters, repeal law increasing water tariff every year and end to
water tanker mafia 7. Simplify Vat 8. Support rehabilitation of slum dwellers
9.Ending contract employment of doctors, nurses, teachers and sweepers
10.Subsidy to farmers and no acquisition of land without Gram Sabha permission
11. Provision of basic amenities in industrial areas.
When reply is received, AAP will go to the people and ask them whether they
should accept support to form the government. This is definitely what is needed
and is good politics. Everyone knows power corrupts, so transparency and
accountability enforced, with power given back to the people to curb
corruption, powerful politicians and vested interests is the cry of the Aam
Admi!
