Shri.Bharat Vir Wanchoo that the outstanding work of Mr. Roque Santana ‘ Father of Goan Democracy’ becomes the center of the 50th celebration of Goa legislative Assembly. Mr. Roque Santana alone objected to the nomination of 29 member consultative council for the administration of this territory and went into fast unto death ‘Satyagraha’ demanding Democracy for Goans demanding early election and the first Goa legislative Assembly was convened on January 9th 1964.
