Thanks Stephen Dias D.Paula Mob: 9422443110 DEMOLITION OF UNSAFE BUILDINGS AROUND PANJIM CITY Present CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado knows very well that there are many unsafe buildings around city of Panjim and that earlier Mayor/s did nothing even after he was earlier vociferously fighting for this venture. I know that he used to do all his marketing work personally by himself and he had personal contacts with the vendors and fisher folks from Panjim market and therefore he knows each and everything what is going on in the market. The building which is unsafe near Panjim market and other areas needs to be demolished at once. Now since the Canacona incident has taken place we hope that CCP takes action on all those unsafe buildings existing around the city. It is very common in Goa; action is taken only once any mishap is taken place. The question is raised, how long will it take to complete this task of razing these unsafe structures in the city? Will the CCP take a legal opinion for razing these old buildings, otherwise somebody will file a legal notice or PIL which may boomerang them and therefore it will go back to square one. It is good that CCP is planning to have parking slots at these venues once they are razed to ground. Stephen Dias D.Paula Date: 11.1.2014
