Six airport cleaners held on suspicion of theftTNN | Jan 12, 2014, VASCO: Six cleaners were arrested by Dabolim airport<http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Dabolim-airport> police on suspicion of theft after a wallet and a passport of a crew member on a chartered flight that arrived from Russia went missing. Later, the passport and the wallet were found in a dustbin of the airport terminal building.
A complaint lodged by Melroy D'Costa, manager of the charter company in Goa, stated that at about 3am on Saturday the charter flight number UT 5039 arrived at Dabolim airportcarrying passengers from Moscow, Russia. After all passengers got down from the flight the cleaners were sent in for cleaning. The flight was supposed to leave at 4am after an hour. When the crew members returned to the plane, one of the male members noticed that his wallet and passport was missing from the pilot's cabin. Immediately the security of the airport was alerted and checking was done. One of the security men found the wallet and passport dumped in a dustbin of the terminal building. The crew member said that there were some dollars in his wallet that were missing. Later, at about 10am the airport police arrested Sabappa Harijan, Bahusab Valika, Damodar Harijan, Mahesh Varidy, Murtaza Mulla and Sandeep Holer all between 20-25 years of age under Section 41 of IPC<http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/IPC> and are being interrogated.
