Every year state and National awards are given. Sometimes it is for a teacher
who has taught for say 35 years in a particular school or a musican who has
blown his instrument for 40 years or for a tiatrist who has danced on the stage
for many years or any other artist. But those who institute the awards do not
mention anywhere what extraordinary things a particular person has done to get
this award. Take for example Mother Theresa who was awarded Nobel prize. Every
one on earth knows that she has done something which normally you and I could
not do. while on other hand a teacher who goes to school and teaches her
subject from 8am to 1.30 pm has not done anything extraordinary. Or a musician
or any other person if he does his duty does not mean his job is extraordinary.
If a teacher had done something for the village after school hours like adult
education, etc etc then he or she deserves a prize. Many times without any
insult (this is reality) an award is given on influence . A particular person
knows this particular politician and there goes the prize. The awards have no
meaning only influencial persons gets awards.
