The accusatory statements in the post appended below are a distortion of what I
said. I have never stated that Justice Saldanha and Harsh Mander have collected
funds from various religious organizations. I quote below the two statements
that I have made:

"So I will let you know if and when I receive a copy of the interviews that
have already been conducted with funds from various religious organizations
with a common interest in persecution theology, by those who have released the
report."

"As regards interviewing the victims myself, I trust that Justice Saldanha,
Harsh Mander, Marshall Mendonza, etc. have already done that, and am waiting to
read their interviews in the detailed report."

The report was released by a religious organization named "Catholic Secular
Forum". Please see: http://ch.spinnakerpro.com/run/v3.aspx?x=39793667-48-920

This religious organization receives funds by donations. Here are their
statements on this point.

QUOTE
Who funds The CSF?
You do! Of course God does - through you. The finances of a few individuals /
trustees (even though they may donate large sums) are hardly enough to meet the
huge challenges at hand. We are member / donor driven. Without Him, we could do
nothing & without Him using you as instruments to be a blessing - The CSF would
just not exist. We believe in micro-financing that got the Nobel prize. Each
one contributes just a few rupees - no one prevents you from contributing more.
We need as much as we can get & assure it will be put to use in the same year.
The Lord will provide for the next.

DONATE
The Lord blesses a few with money, so that they can send The CSF to do His
will. As Jesus said, the one who does the will of My Father is my mother,
brother or sister. It is the will of God that you use the resources He has
blessed you with to be a blessing, in blessing others. Praise the Lord -The CSF
activists have been blessed by both physical & monetary blessings. So even if
you cannot get too involved, you can share the blessings that come from our
ministry, by planting a seed. We encourage you to do so, at least on the
following occasions:
Your Birthday / Anniversary / Engagements / Employment
Sacraments -births, deaths, communions, weddings, confirmations, holy orders
Feasts & Parties -Christmas or Easter get-togethers

The report also acknowledges the contributions to it from several other
religious organizations. Here is that quote:

QUOTE
Acknowledgements:
The CSF is grateful to all those who have reported on persecution in India,
including its many of our activists across various states. Special mention must
be made NGOs, active in the field too, like:
• Evangelical Fellowship of India
• The All India Christian Council
• Global Council of Indian Christians
• World Watch Monitor & many more

I don't how many more organizations represents "many more". But at least three
of the organizations listed above accept donations or subscriptions. Here are
their websites:

I have no idea who has "collected" the funds at these organizations. I also do
not have any idea whether Justice Saldanha is paid a salary or honorarium from
the donations for the work he does as Chairman of the Christian organization
misnamed Catholic Secular Forum or not. I also do not know anything about the
funding of the social worker Harsh Mander. As far as funding for his
organization named Centre for Equity Studies is concerned, the foreign partners
who fund its activities can be found at this link:

Cheers,

Santosh
