*Bab Agnel at TAG's 'Meet The Artiste'* Hailing from Goa Velha Shri. Agnelo D'Souza more popularly known as 'Bab Agnel' on the tiatr stage. A versatile singer, Bab Agnel was born on 10thJuly 1966 to Pedro D'Souza and Maria Carlota Fernandes. He has been invited by the Tiatr Academy of Goa to feature at its monthly program 'Meet the Artiste' on 06th March 2014 at 4:00 p.m at TAG's Conference Hall, Campal Trade Centre, Campal Panaji-Goa. He first stepped on the tiatr stage in a village tiatr at Siridao were he received a lot of appreciation from the tiatr lovers which encouraged and instilled confidence in him. In 1979 it was tiatr *'Eksuro'* written and directed by Rodil which was his first professional or commercial tiatr. There after he has sung in the tiatrs *'Shambu'* by Rodil, *'Alida'* by Anthony, *'Ordi Bakri'* by Prem Kumar, *'Anga Neet Na'* by Ulhas Bhuyao, *'Tho Moronk Na'* by Chris Perry, *'Cheddun Zait Konnalem'* by H. Briton, *'Bhurghim Mai Paichem Sukh'* by Rosary Fernandes, *'Noora'* by Michael D'Silva, *'Tiatrist'* by Shahu Almeida, *'Aitar Budwar'* by Sallu Faleiro, *'Xezari Kombo'* by C. Alvares. Beside singing in tiatr he has rendered his voice to numerous Konkani audio albums produced by various producers. He has also produced three Konkani audio albums namely *'Mogak Lagon'*(1983), *'Moth'*(2005), and *'Gath Apleak Sontos Peleak'*(2009) featuring top most singers and musicians of the Konkani stage like Romeo Mendes, Antonette Mendes, Soccorin, Lawrry Travasso, Antonette de Calangute, Prince Jacob, Rosary Ferns etc. Another Konkani album entitled *'Tukach Lagon'* is in the pipeline and will be released shortly in the DVD format. Bab Agnel has been received accolades and won prizes in Goa and abroad for his ability in singing by institutions such as Kala Academy, Konkani Heritage Kuwait, Konkani Dramatic Association etc. He has performed in Goa, Mumbai, Kuwait, UK etc. All tiatr lovers are invited for this program.
