I doubt if any one of us have seen Narendra Modi or lived in the vicinity. Some
one has put it in our head that if modi comes to power then our churches will
be destroyed, catholics will be persecuted. When BJP came to power there were
able to solve the babri issue so nicely. Vajpee was the best prime minister we
had had. Those who stand on the pulpit and boast about secularism has these
leaders done anything for the masses ? In my village there are so many
youngsters who are graduate and earning 6000 rupees. If you look at the pay
register of the catholic church lay people are misserable paid except those in
the govt aided schools whereas the priests are given big jobs as directors with
high pay scales. its easy to wash dirty linen of others in public but when it
comes to someone washing your linen you flare up and accuse the person as anti
christ. Let us learn to call a spade a spade. We have no right to put Modi
down. As for me I have seen him only on tv and I am yet to learn him as human
being but as human being he has every right to contest and there are many
people in India who might want to vote for him. It is democracy. Just because
he is a hindu and I do not like him i cannot talk ill about him. Fr.Prakash had
no right to come to Goa to denounce Modi. It is a crime.
