In reality the CBI is one of the most gutless, politically influenced and inefficient national police services in the world. You can see this for yourself if you make a trip to their Bombay office at Tanna House just next to the Archdiocese's office in Colaba. This is not just about India. In Canada the famous boast that the Mounties (RCMP) always get their man will get you a laugh instead from the Canadian public who have followed their recent exploits. The fact is that criminals have become far too smarter and have more resources including money from drugs and other ill gotten gains, while police force budgets are always under pressure of constant reduction.
