Mogall Estefanio,
It's an urban Indian myth that is quite common with Bombay Police crowing that
they rank after Scotland Yard in crime solving. Now you have brought in a CBI
rank that trails Scotland Yard and the FBI. This one is new to me.

In reality the CBI is one of the most gutless, politically influenced and
inefficient national police services in
the world. You can see this for yourself if you make a trip to their Bombay
office at Tanna House just next to the Archdiocese's office in Colaba.

This is not just about India. In Canada the famous boast that the Mounties
(RCMP) always get their man will get you a laugh instead from the Canadian
public who have followed their recent exploits.

The fact is that criminals have become far too smarter and have more resources
including money from drugs and other ill gotten gains, while police force
budgets are always under pressure of constant reduction.

Boasts like these are one of the ways they keep up their sagging morale.

Roland.

Subject: [Goanet] FRAUD AT GOA BORDERS FOR ENTRY TAXES

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY AT CHECK POSTS IN GOA

This refers to NT dt 11.6.2014 news report on ‘TOKENS DO THE TRICK FOR HEAVY
VEHICLES PASSING THROUGH MOLEM CHECK POST”

It is well known that there are top investigating agencies in the world
where C.B.I. -India stands third in the rank, after the Scotland Yard of
United Kingdom, and F.B.I of U.S.A. But still thieves are above them as
they study much more in details how to overcome these rules.

Recently Goa Government has decided to get some revenue to this state and the
R.T.O. was assigned this task to introduce some entry taxes in all the borders
of Goa. But somehow these thieves knew other tricks how to get entry without
paying the approved taxes. Navhind Times has exposed one of the incidents
recently after thoroughly investigating the system which has loop holes. In
India whatever you bring the rules there is somebody who will break it. That
means we cannot get 100% guarantee of whatever Government takes decision.

Now is that this cheating was made public, will the C.B.I. or CID works on, to
find out how to punish the guilty ones police officers/constables at the check
posts or even somebody at higher level in Goa administration, after checking
their SMS’es, e-mail etc or even faxes sent by those cheats
manipulating frauds from outside Goa State
