Dear Venansius and JC,
There may have been more, but the following medical schools in India had
worldwide recognition from medical councils for applying for tests or challenge
exams in order to practice or study further at the time the Escola Medica
existed:

Armed Forces Medical College,  Poona (from 1948).
St.Johns Medical College, Bangalore
Christian Medical College, Vellore
Govt. Medical College, Miraj
Grant Medical College, Bombay.

Roland.

asked:

"Was any other Medical College in India recognized internationally during the
time EMG was recognized internationally?"

RESPONSE:

YES.

As far as Goa was concerned, ironically, Escola was but Goa Medical College was
not for quote some time.....allegedly because of the turf battle not involving
Bom U and MCI

That is why Goa Med College graduates had to sit the PLAB in the UK ....until
about 1975 when all IMGs and some others had to do so too.
