Thank you kindly, Aldrid Da Costa Media Officer Sporting Clube de Goa GFA GOA PRO LEAGUE FIXTURE: (Round 6) 21/09/14 Sporting Clube de Goa v. Vasco Sports Club @ Duler Stadium, Mapusa (kick off 4pm) *PRESS RELEASE* *Sporting Clube de Goa face Vasco test* Sporting Clube de Goa will look to get back on track when they take on Vasco Sports Club in round 6 of Gfa’s Goa Pro League, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Sunday. The kick off time is 4pm. For all their aesthetic charm, Sporting Goa has not yet struck gold in this season’s campaign, with a win against Calangute, draws against Dempo and Salgaoacar and counter punch defeats against Sesa Football Academy and Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim. Last season the Flaming Oranje lifted the Goa Pro League title and Gfa knock out Cup, along with finishing as Federation Cup runners up and so the fans believe it is only a matter of time before the players regain the electric chemistry. Some of the forwards were seen after practice sharpening their swords in front of goal, which indicates Sporting Goa Coach Oscar Bruzon has still many aces up his sleeve and there could be one or two changes in the offing. Vasco recently defeated Churchill Brothers and Calangute, drew with Sesa but suffered losses at the hands of Dempo and Cavelossim. Sporting Goa striker Victorino Fernandes who has just been recalled in to the India team for the upcoming friendly against Palestine, is the current top scorer in the league with six goals. Vasco on the other hand have the experienced Jerose Oliveira to produce the magic when counted upon. The hit man has netted three so far, while team mates Aiken Dias and Jaison Dias have contributed with a goal each. Vasco are currently on 7 points from five matches, while Sporting Goa is on 5 points from the same number of game.
