AAP accused of running away Why did BJP run away from the responsibility by not forming the Govt, in Delhi when they were running neck to neck with numbers? They tried to engineer defections but did not succeed. The fact that they have now enrolled Bedi with the promise of C.M post and embraced Shazia Ilmi ,two prominent members of IAC in their fold is something to think about . Of course AAP was not receptive to or approached BJP in spite of being labeled as B team of BJP or even initially to Congress, until Congress promised unconditional outside support. AAP conducted poll of the prospects of support and there was good support to its proposal at face value, forgetting and ignoring the treacherous intent of Congress. The initiative was to provide stable Govt in the uncertain circumstances, even though AAP had recommended fresh elections due to fractured mandate. AAP made a tactical blunder in accepting so called unconditional support and went in overdrive to put Congress on the mat and immediately unearth wrong doings of Congress rule. The Congress was quick enough to pull the rug under their feet due to self preservation instinct. Congress could not have offered support when both fought a bitter war on principles during elections, but saw the prospects of keeping BJP at length into not embracing AAP thereby choosing the lesser evil
Both the parties now are castigating AAP of throwing principles to the wind. But the BJP has aligned with Shiv Sena, in spite of waging a war of no holes bared verbal battle and refusing the offer of NCP`s unconditional outside support. In Kashmir the PDP is seeking honeymoon with BJP even though they are sworn enemies on public platform .There is a strong possibility and prospect of stitching a loose alliance of convenience ,albeit in the interest of stable Govt. between the two parties ,where there is a wedge of difference Yet the BJP can call AAP as unprincipled political party in taking support to gain power. Under similar circumstances is it justified for BJP to align with PDP or Shiv Sena, while accusing AAP in particular? If AAP had not blundered into taking support of Congress the stock of the party now would have been much higher. Both the National parties do not savour the prospects of infant party AAP making inroads into their unchallenged citadel of sharing power alternatively. The massive campaign under way in Delhi elections by BJP roping in Central Ministers on war footing is a jittery, nervous reaction of uncertainty by painting AAP is the worst monster and attacking Arwind from all sides The Delhi voters are mature enough and will not fall a prey to personal vilification campaign bereft of issues. They have tasted for long the rule of both the Congress and BJP alternatively to be allured by promises without action Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
