I find it very odd that the wife of a Government Minister should make such an irresponsible statement - namely, not to send their children(presumably girls) to convent schools. How immature of a woman to have such a narrow mindset? As Vivian has rightly pointed out, most non-Catholics - be they Hindus or Muslims, have always preferred Catholic-run schools for their children - Jesuit or other Catholic Religious Order-run schools for their sons and Convent schools for their daughters. Such schools have produced world-class citizens. I am sure many women who have passed through convent schools and gained immensely from them,could vouch for their high moral and ethical standards.
