Dear Aires, bab Once again we thank you for all the efforts you have been taking for the arrest of Micky and now proclaiming him as absconder after the end of JMFC court expiry period on last Thursday ( 16TH APRIL 2015). The proclamation is as per the law and rules of the court but I feel you should simultaneously gear up to confiscate his assets and seal the house and his office premises before everything is empty. Also a notice to CM from the Court to stop his wages and dismiss him from attending any government function and appearing in Secretariat for work. His official identity card as Minister must be surrendered to the Government. Must put up a sketch or a photo of a absconder in all the Police Stations in Goa as per the rules of Police Act, so that he is shown that he is at fault for disobeying SC Court orders. This is required because not only for him but for all those who act in this manner so that there is some discipline in Goa political circle. Especially Navhind Times and others must be congratulated for giving the public actual immediate facts.
stephen dias DATE: 17.4.2015 ======================================= Proclaim Mickky absconder: cops to court NT NETWORK MARGAO: With the seven-day period given by the Margao Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Pooja Kavlekar to the Colva police to arrest former rural development minister Francisco Xavier 'Mickky' Pacheco coming to an end, the police Thursday submitted a report before the Margao JMFC praying that a proclamation be issued declaring the Nuvem MLA an absconder. Returning back the non-bailable warrant of arrest issued by the Margao JMFC, the Colva police stated before the court that the Nuvem MLA was undetectable despite continuous searches conducted by them. The Margao JMFC will decide on the case on Friday when the matter will come up for hearing. The court had issued the warrant of arrest last week on Thursday after the special leave petition filed by Pacheco was rejected by the Supreme Court. The Colva police has also stated in writing to the court that the five-member police team is camping in Delhi to arrest Pacheco. However, the team has not yet been successful in its mission. In his eight-page report on the progress of the case submitted before the Margao JMFC, Colva police inspector Uttam Raut Dessai has said that all efforts were made by the police to trace Pacheco. The police have said that since Pacheco is evading arrest, a proclamation be issued against him. Highlighting the efforts taken by them to execute the arrest warrant, Colva police have said in the report that the team sent to Delhi conducted searches at various places including hotels, courts and premises of advocates in the national capital. Police said that searches were also conducted in various parts of the state. Late Thursday night, the Colva police sought a report from police sub-inspector Tulsidas Naik, who is heading the five-member police team camping in Delhi. The Colva police has sought a detailed report from the team on the activities carried out by the members to find the whereabouts of Pacheco. The Colva police inspector will on Friday submit before the Margao JMFC a report in connection with a notice issued to him by the court on Wednesday. The court had issued the notice asking the Colva police to submit their say on a petition filed before the court by Aires Rodrigues. The petition seeks an inquiry and action against the Colva police for not arresting Pacheco. It states that the Colva police, instead of diligently executing the warrant, have in connivance and collusion been shielding Pacheco in total disrespect and contempt of the court. Pacheco is to serve a six-month jail term for slapping a junior engineer of the electricity department in 2006. He was last traced to Delhi based on his mobile phone location. However, the mobile phone is now switched off. A Goa police team was sent to Delhi to execute the arrest warrant. Sources claim that Pacheco's passport is in custody of the Goa police (in connection with the Nadia case). However, lookout notices have been issued at airports to prevent his alleged escape using a forged passport. ?
