Of late, I have often found time to visit GoanVoice. Today (Aug 6) I visited it in the evening, but was shocked to read about Vasco Rodrigues. He was related to me and took over as president of the Colva a year or two after I was.
He was the son of Felix Valois Rodrigues, a Goan freedom fighter and journalist who worked for The Indian Express, Delhi. I had written about Felix in the thread over Joel's death on the Goa-Book-Club forum. I visited him almost two decades ago with the precise aim to meet his mother. I also met his wife and one or two sisters at Don Mill. I had lost contact with him. I would be happy if someone who knows the family, especially those in Toronto from Saddar, Karachi, if they can forward me their telephone number. Before I met Vasco, his sister Fatima had visited Bombay to meet her dad and stayed with us. This was in the late 70s. RIP Vasco.. Eugene
