It would help if all religions took a more pro-active stance on issues
that affect all people. The Swami Agniveshs of the world have shown
the relevance of social concerns to Hinduism. As far as Christianity,
and Catholicism in Goa in particular go, I wish they would remind
those who advertise their religious affiliation about their
responsibility to eschew the politics of opportunism, corruption and
