ISSUE OF BUS TICKETS I casually met a group of German bus travelers Their grouse that the fares varied from Rs 12, 15, 20 from Colva to Margao and they felt cheated without proof to complain. The conductor informs me emphatically on request that local buses are not obliged to issue tickets. It is contrary to travel on Kadama Transport. The travelers feel cheated as they are used to a system in their own country. He inquired about existence of a regulator to check tickets. Using of tickets though compulsory in any buses, there is hardly any check or fines imposed in private buses. The authorities mostly check for uniforms, badges, licences etc and are rarely concerned about tickets, reserved seats, overcrowding, unscheduled stops Issuing of tickets would definitely help owners to plug leakages in collections
