Jim Fernandes, American companies are exporting good paying jobs because that is how capitalism works. Capitalists have to find cheap labour to be competitive and if it is not available in the USA, they have to go abroad. Apple - is the manifestation of this process.
Secondly, the US govt actually encourages companies to go abroad by providing generous tax breaks for profits made overseas. It also penalizes companies when they want to remit their profits to the USA. These are firmly entrenched policies and those who have understood it - and invested in companies such as Apple - are reaping the rewards of capitalism. On a different note, I too am appalled by this years US presidential elections. The people who make the most sense, Kasich and Sanders, are the candidates that few people are voting for. Donald Trump's words are already splitting the Republican party and I have $1 to bet he will run as a third party candidate. The absolute gentleman in this campaign is Rafael Cruz who magnanimously gave up his Canadian citizenship to run for the US Presidency. The Canadian govt has assured Rafael that he can reclaim his citizenship if Trump becomes President. As usual, Canada is bracing for an influx of US migrants regardless who wins the November elections.
