Reliance mobile has shut down it CDMA network
They were to shut down from April/May in a phase manner last phase being 31st
May.
I am with Reliance CDMA for more than 10 years but suddenly around 26th May
2016 my phone stopped working, It says ‘no service’ (no network). Unable to
make or receive calls....
Just two day ago I found out through internet the Reliance shutting down its
CDMA network.
We received no intimation nor SMS in this regards.
Yesterday after searching reliance customer service shop in Panaji, we found
out one at Mandhuban Complex St. Inez (even that location we had to find on
google). Its opp Renault Showroom.
We were there at 2.30pm but notice on the door say it will open at 4 pm
At 4.15 when we were there we saw huge crowd already all come for same reason
as mine.
On the door there were notices ‘we are not responsible for any network issue’
We collected free GSM 4G card (Re.1) which is to be inserted into another new
GSM phone
Our old CDMA phone is now obsolete, my prepaid balance of about Rs.200 lost too.
After inserting the new SIM card into GSM phone, the service will be activated
by 7 pm same day, we were told.
7 pm next day and our phones still out of service saying ‘SIM Card
registration failed’ we even tried using another phones but same problem
Tried to phone Customer care – either network busy or recorded messages
Imagine, we are with no phone for last 7 days

Anil Ambani owned Reliance Co.
