It appears that Brexit has become a hot potato for the the prime actors. It was meant to be a threat to the EU but backfired on its protogonists as well as antagonists who never expected that the vote would go this way. None were mentally, economically nor socially prepared for the consequences. The leadership of all the main parties are like headless chickens. It was amusing to read that many of those who voted for Brexit did not even know what it stood for. Brexit has brought out several divisions in British society - old vs young, rich vs poor, white vs black / coloured, aristocrat vs working class, EU citizens vs refugees. Brexit will be a landmark in history much like the Berlin Wall collapse which changed world history.
