Open letter from a concerned citizen

Dear Sirs,

It is true that the Aam Admi of Goa is totally fed up of the way the BJP is
handling Goa.

The number of U-turns taken by the BJP has left Goans confused and angry.

There are some who want to forge a Mahagatbandan of secular forces and most
of these who want the BJP to be defeated are people who prioritise Goa's
welfare over their own personal interests and egos.

I do not understand why those who left the Congress to form themselves as
Independents or regional parties cannot come back to the Congress to
strengthen it, so that secularism under Congress can defeat the forces of
communalism and hatred toward minorities.

We have seen how Churchill Alemao floated his Save Goa Party without any
useful result, and ultimately he was forced to re-join the Congress for
self interest.

All those in Goa who are promoting regional parties are doing so for their
own selfish interest and benefits.

If they were not selfish, they would have a regional party and only work
for it without standing for elections. If these people get elected they
will only look after their individual interests and dump Goa and the
common man in the grave.

So, I appeal to all those seeking the Mahagatbandan to sacrifice their
individual ego and join the secular forces in the Congress and thus help
the common man to vote for a united secular force under the Congress to
wipe out the BJP in the 2017 election as I see only Congress as a viable
secular alternative force capable of defeating the BJP.

So, Goa Suraj party of Floriano Lobo, UGDP of Radharao Gracias, Goa Forward
of Vijay Sardesai and United Goans of Babush Monseratte should forget and
desist from forming loose knots with the Congress for their individual
interest and dissolve their egos to merge into the oceanic waters of the
Congress which alone will be able to dislodge the BJP and keep individual
like Viswajit Rane and the Pandurang Madkaikar from assuming control of
the present depleted Congress which alone will not be able to take on the
BJP which has throttled the Aam Admi of Goa.

If these individuals don't act now, the confused voters of Goa may seek a
new saviour equidistant from the BJP and the Congress, in the form of the
AAP party.

This observation is not my personal reading but the Voice of the common man
across Goa, wanting to save Goa from the exploits of selfish politicians
working for selfish individual interests.
