Just for your information, the number of pending court cases in Goa: As on 31/12/2005, civil cases pending 20644, criminal cases pending 13671. Total pendency 34315 (in a total population of 1.4 million). The above figure is for the subordinate courts. In the Bombay high court (which covers a larger area beyond Goa) the pending cases as on 31.12.2006 was 326361 (civil), 36581 (criminal) total 322942.
