Seeing how Donald Trump mesmerized 40% of the American population, (specially
older white males, unemployed, disabled and Blue Collar / Hourly wage earners),
helps me understand how Hitler was successful in having the same effect on the
German population.
In both cases their speeches were more theatrics that substance.  So it is
scary how history can easily repeat itself even with an intelligent electorate
and an open press.   While the Germans pre-Hitler was in a recession, inflation
and chaotic state of affairs, America was much more stable and had a pretty
good economy with booming stock market and an unemployment rate of 5%..
