Uk: Splendid Job done –GTDC
Just a few lines for a splendid job well done for all involved in this
Government of Goa Undertaking,  sorry I could not do this earlier .Health
issues prevented me from attending the London  World Travel Mart in the last
two years. This year on Tuesday 8 November I made an attempt to attend this
Travel Trade  venue that is  bigger than six football pitches encompassing
nearly every country in the World. It was a delight to stop by the Goa Tourism
Development Corporation stand although smaller than previous years the Window
on Goa was beautifully laid out along with a warm welcome for everyone.
To me it was  nostalgic meeting with Martin Joseph, Freedom Holidays  one of
the first people it was good to work with  all the years ago when an air bridge
from London to Goa was established with Paramount Airlines, Caledonian Airways,
Dan Air and Air Europe. Today we have Thomas Cook and Thompsons who fly direct
from UK to Goa on the Charter market .One should not foget people that keep the
flame to Goa always lit like Roger Moniz of Avion Tours, Bobby Dsouza-Mango
Travel. Tony & Karen from Alpha Holidays Panjim  and  Clive Sequeira of Casa
Fortuna Dona Paula who offer family friendly Holidays and Villas Just like
Europe. It was good to hear from Bernadette Goldsmith of Air Canada that in
June 2017 they are introducing a direct flight from Toronto to Bombay. Shilton
Almeida Regional Manager for Paul John Whisky and his team added the Goan
party  ingredients in various brands of   Caju and Coconut Feni  Bebinca and
finger foods, washed down with a range of Beers from Goa accompanied by  superb
musicians introducing the heartbeat of Konkani Music and dance created the
atmosphere  taking you to our warm Goa in an instant. There were many others
who can be reached online
please visit  www.goa-tourism.com.
Not to be biased I have asked  Sinead McManus of National Geographic Traveller
magazine if she would kindly  do a small note for Goanet we, look forward to
this.
Best Regards
