Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for achieving the near impossible. I feel as if a few day ago India went through a bloodless revolution in which we achieved economic liberation which has been a major struggle since 1947 when we achieved political independence. We Indians still have a long way to go, though.
All the same, it a a magnificent milestone. If the Prime Minister does nothing for the remainder of his term he will still go down in history as the man who conducted the biggest spring cleaning operation in India since Independence. I am proud to be Indian, as are millions of honest Indians. The rotten system has undergone major surgery. When a house is dirty and is cleaned it is only the pigs who complain. No need to elaborate further. CM Kejrilal and Rahul Gandhi accuse the Prime Minister of not first bringing home the money which is stashed away in foreign banks. Do we have to remind these two gentlemen that our Prime Minister is not the head of state of countries abroad and bringing back black money to India which is hidden in foreign locations is not so simple a matter. Anyway, honest people all over India have their hearts beating in unison to the same tune: I am Proud to be Indian!
