This requires a two part response. Tourism and Why US is great. Toursism ----------- There are a handful of tiny countries and at least one state in the US (Hawaii) that does survive wholly on tourism. But these countries/states are managed by decent human beings.
In Goa, the state and its tourism industry is managed by crooks. Guess who put them there? The Goan voters!!! Goans demand monetary benefits from politicians during elections and once elected, the politicians give you a finger when it comes to working for the benefit of Goa. But stupid Goans are not willing to look at clean alternatives such as your party. How unfortunate!!! As to why the USA is one of big dudes from sports to almost everything else ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Its primarily because of clean government. Corruption does occur, but its nowhere near the levels you see in Goa/India. India is a filthy corrupt country. 2. Most people in the US pay payroll and other taxes. They don't hide money like Indians. When the government has resources, it can do more for it's people. 3. The US encourages innovation - American universities and large corporations invest heavily on R & D. They also create competitive environment between researchers to develop the next big thing. Military - All military hardware developed for the US military is pretty much developed by private American military contractors. This encourages innovation and allows them to develop fighting machines that are second to none. The Indian government has been running Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at least since independence. What do they have to show for their existence? ... A couple of helicopters? Show me some heavy duty fighter jets that are not imported from Russia, France, UK or the US.
