------------------------------------------------------- CONVENTION OF THE GOAN DIASPORA FROM GOA INTO THE WORLD Lisbon, Portugal June 15-17, 2007 Details at: http://www.goacom.org/casa-de-goa/noticias.html -------------------------------------------------------
If the choice for Goans in 2007 is between a corrupt set and a communal set, it is a very sad choice indeed. Is this what Dec 19, 1961 was all about? i.e. to put Goans in this desperately sad position? If that is so, I'd say Bravo to all who have lied, connived, thieved & swiped from Goans, and converted Goa into this alleged paradise with the filth and chaos it has degenerated into today. Ah Ameeta Mascarenhas of the Doctors' lot! What does Lambert say these days of the mess that has become of his sorrowing land? And even if he said anything, would anyone listen or care? As many a scene from the Animal Kingdom would reveal, the pretty gazelle called Goa has been brought down by the lions, and what is left will be swiped by the hyenas. Then, will be the turn of the flies. Time for the rest of the herd to move on. To those with short memories or no recollection, I ask: Dig deep in the recesses of your conscience (if any such thing still exists). Ask your self this question. In whose bed did lay a few years ago, the thieves of today? Were they not thieving at that time? And what proof is there that opportunity will not present itself - in a day or two or later - for the thieves and the alleged clean to jump into bed together again, and start thieving again? Wonder what the Doctors lot will say a year from now. I wonder in which direction my dear friend Aires will jump ..once again. Not that anything we or the Doctors lot or Aires say(says) is relevant. We all are but pawns en route the usual check-mate. The spoils are there (watch the PWD Ministry) for the taking. The question is How Much and Who (this time around). In the final analysis, this is perhaps what 1961 was all about. Well Done ...whoever. jc ------------------------------------------------------- Goanet recommends, and is proud to be associated with, 'Domnic's Goa' - A nostalgic romp through a bygone era.
