CONVENTION OF THE GOAN DIASPORA FROM GOA INTO THE WORLD

Quebec City one of the most beautiful in Canada, will host the
International Eucharistic Congress in 2008.

Personally, I am not a very religious person, but I write this post to
tell worldwide Goans that if you have any plans to visit Canada in the
near future, this event would be a most opportune time.

If you have experienced the Panjim of Portuguese days, the little
Lisbon with its Latin flavor, the ups and downs of its streets, the
outdoor shopping plazas, the bistros in the center, the colonial
administration buildings - then multiply that beauty by a factor of
hundred thousand and you will have some idea of the nature of Quebec
City.

This link is to a website that describes Quebec City as well as I would like to:

8 hours drive from Toronto and 3 from Montreal, a Goan visitor to
Canada for the International Congress can take in these 3 cities
during this trip, not only enjoying the spectacle of this
international religious gathering, but also the opportunity to be a
party to the Goan community events that take place during the season
in Montreal and Toronto and in between, where sizable Goan
populations exist. As a bonus, Quebec City is in close proximity to
the East Coast of the United States and you can include that in your
itinerary as well.

If any advice or help is needed to get visas, the Goa-gnatters in
Toronto would be happy to help.

Roland.
