The fringe elements decide the choice…… Ever since the BJP was put in saddle, the so called fringe elements have become emboldened to act. The Govt of the day ,at times condemns the actions, that is where it all the best late, verbal response ends.., The law is not enforced as per the letter and spirit, as the law enforcing authorities give an impression, that they are expected to go slow by unwritten order. All such fringe elements must be invited to Goa to study the melting pot of cultures, under BJP rule. The Govt of Goa has legally put breaks on entry of Chief, Pramod Mutalik of Ram Sene, who is feared certainly to pollute the peaceful atmosphere of Goa. The large International and National tourist influx in Goa is a testimony of its democratic and secular approach.. All types of festivals, be it religious and cultural are observed in harmony and citizens co exist. . Different Nationals Punjabis, Gujaratis, Keralites, Biharis, Rajastanis etc celebrate their festivals unhindered. Everyone partakes to the extent possible. The foreigners also participate lively in all festivals and celebrations an enjoy the atmosphere of accommodation of live and let live principle
The fringe elements seem to increasingly control our choice by force, intimidation, violence and threats and treading on our toes. Earlier meat / beef was banned and those dealing officially, legally have been subjected to in human brutalities, murders in broad day light, The action taken against such vigilantes is best avoided .Then under the guise of protection of women and sexual crimes, the code of dress ,use of phones, late parting un accompanied by male member , Romeo squads of terror became explosive behavior of enforcement, The fringe elements made their inroads in film industry, entertainment, what they will permit for the viewing of the society. Enough confusion is created by bypassing the censor board and involvement of Parliamentary Committee overseeing the censor Board .The legislators have joined openly the bandwagon for limited political opportunism Then scores of rationalist, journalists, Editors have lost their life for their beliefs and freedom of expressions guaranteed by Constitution. They the culprits are still at large rightly or wrongly avoiding the long arm of the law. Are we the Indians agreeable to what we should eat, dress, drink, sing, celebrate what time we should be out parting? Now a new dimension is added hitting the Christian community banning celebration of Christmas, New year and even singing of Christmas carols in schools. Unfortunately no action is forthcoming against their violence behavior, destruction of property and police feigning ignorance. Somewhere singing of National anthem and standing were enforced by law. Yoga became a national and international fad to be compulsory exercise in Schools under the guise of beneficial health effects In very state, slowly but certainly the list of prohibited behaviour, etc is getting enlarged citing culture, tradition, nationalism and pseudo patriotism to be conformed.. The fringe elements think that foreign cultural practices, which over centuries have been adopted by us and have since become integral part of our life, are now being viewed as affront to National cohesiveness .It is rightly commented that India is being taken backward in times, Where is” sab ka vikas sab ke saat” India is not a theocratic state that every citizen should be bank rolled to conform to dictats appearing to speak for the authority as a front. The fringe seem to have or rightly assume the sympathy of the authorities. Mere condemnation without strict action as per law is indirect encouragement and protection against unlawful behavior. Just a few years of BJP assuming power and gaining ascendancy in many states does not bode well for democracy and freedom.
