Thanks and Keep it Up !..From Romi Lipi Action Front
The Romi Lipi Action Front takes the opportunity of the Results of Goa
State Legislative Assembly Elections 2007 to thank all our Active Workers,
Supporters and Sympathizers for the tireless efforts they have put in, towards
bringing an amendment to the Official Language Act of Goa to include in it,
an equal status to the Roman Script, especially during the recent, Election
Period.
Your efforts have paid rich dividends.
Our target of bringing down the two major enemies of the Roman Script from
Salcete , has been achieved.
We have successfully replaced both these Self-Styled-Dictators,with two
strong supporters of the Roman Script.
Our work does not end here. In fact our real work begins now.
We have yet to eliminate, a few more obstacles, and only then will our road
ahead, be clear.
The mandate, as we see it, in the recently held State Assembly Elections, is a
fractured mandate. None of the Congress M.L.As who have crossed two terms
and have won back a third term should ever think, that they are safe for the
next 5 years. Goa is known, for having 3 Governments in 5years, in the past.
The next part of our strategy includes the mid-term Parliamentary Elections
in South Goa. We are determined to elect an M.P who is non-Congress, secular
and pro-Roman Script. He will also, highlight in his Election-Manifesto,
Roman Script as a major issue.
We are already in touch, on this matter, with non-Congress, secular Parties,
including the Save Goa Front, which incidentally, is the only Political Party
that has openly committed support to the Roman Script in writing in their
manifesto for the recently held State Assembly Elections.
We will need all our active workers, supporters and sympathizers to work hand
in hand in achieving this target, just like we achieved in Navelim and Curtorim.
This will soon, be followed by Operation-Roman Script for Velim & Loutolim.
The details of these, will be informed to you, in due time.
We thank you, once again, and urge you to prepare yourself, for the next part
of the war, that lies ahead.
