Very true Roland, about murals. A splendid suggestion. This same can work to a varying degree in India too.
A lot happening in my corner. Preparing for massive changes in our lives, but will reach out. Putting things together. People also see money in different ways — a gamut with the same bland sameness. In my good days I bought some work from people. Spent what the artist asked for. But people have not once asked me, Hey V: What can I get from you for a tenner, or $25, or $50. Maybe I will offer a dot, or a circle! Or say, I need a cover, but I have say $25. They do not have $25 for you, but they want you to say yes to painting a whole new piece. I am not joking about the $10 and $25. Or as Mother put it, something on these lines: Dista toxxem nasta / nhuim (?) What you see is not what it is. These are folks who snort, ahem imbibe $180 bottles of sake — which are hard to differentiate unless you are way up there. Past that now, but not immune to understanding that desire is desire. On the other hand its about being famous. What is that about? What does being famous have to do with chump change, and intelligent thoughts, or simply seeing? Funny how these memories cropped up. Oh, and there are those who tell you how great one is, work for the UN, good minds but it stops at that. I am not bitter, just shedding the idea of Goaness, ’fessing up its embraced as a yardstick, while I am seeking. The Goa bit, is a tiring and much gnawed upon bit — a trope to sell selves, get laid (hopefully), snag those who are timid, and sell wares, get a conference, or a trip, or whatever. It is what it is. I say it, and also say, more power to them, but its not for me. And don’t get me started on labor of love being that I am a self-proclaimed authority on that topic. Finally its about subservience. Being very vhodlo for ones britches! Hahahaha. My work as a designer prevented me from reaching too far. And while working, I simply could not have a full blown practice. Much water under the bridge. But I know I have something solid. The Goan part is imply because it comes easy to me, and I can intuit, and have touched those resonances. Even something sudden does not throw off my core. Much appreciation and respect. —Venantius On Sat, Feb 24, 2018 at 4:17 PM, Roland Francis <[email protected]> wrote: > Another suggestion for VJP. > > The luxury condo market is and has been booming in Toronto, altering the > city’s skyline over the last decade. > > I don’t know anything about the artwork market: how they go about getting > their commissions for illustrations.
