------------------------------------------------------- CONVENTION OF THE GOAN DIASPORA FROM GOA INTO THE WORLD Lisbon, Portugal June 15-17, 2007 Details at: http://www.casadegoa.org -------------------------------------------------------
Domnic, Being far away from beautiful Goa ,does make me feel very sentimental about the happenings in our tiny state. It pains & has pained my heart to know that Goa is no longer gorgeous !!! as it used to be. Why has the Goa govt in the past sold properties to foreigners who do not belong to our soil ? Why have they sold land to illegal buyers ? Why have they issued permits to vendors from Hubli & Dharwad who are staunch BJP supporters & want to destroy Goa? Why are the Russian mafias who have set up hotels & restaurants indulging in drugs & flesh trade ? Why are these so called Russian mafias scandalizing & destroying the innocence of our children which are the future of tomorrow ? The goverment which is elected each term is greedy for power & really not bothered to preserve our lovely Goa.It is sad they want the chair to fill their pockets & for other selfish interests. Its time they wake up & stop doing the nonsense they are up to.They are blind & only an onlooker can comment. Digamber Kamat , we Goans in the U.K are concerned that our once beautiful state in Goa is preserved & not destroyed .Prove to be a good leader & dont horse trade for your gains.Be patriotic & sensible & kindly drive all the illegal immigrants from Goa. Do tell your police not to be corrupt & do their duty with devotion & not greed. All the very best , to the new govt we hope we see & experience alot of justice in all aspects. Well done Domnic !!! for keeping us informed of all the happenings in Goa. We pray in earnest that our Goa be restored to some extend to what it was in the past.
