FREEDOM OF THOUGHT ,SPEECH CURBED AND FOOLING THE COMMON MAN!
Corruption during the Congress regime had sunk to new lows, but the Karnataka
elections have proved that the party with a difference can sink equally low.
Only the Supreme Court could save democracy by post midnight hearings and
mercifully they were able to! And now a big issue is made of the Arch Bishop of
Delhi letter to his flock to pray for a cleaner political environment of love,
peace and brotherhood in our country to come with a new government that will be
elected in 2019 elections! It was futile explaining to the RSS ideologue on
television that this was obviously not existing now and there is nothing anti
national. The new government could be BJP, Congress or third front or any
combination being elected. The BJP went to town saying religious leaders should
stay out of politics never mind politicians visiting temples/religious leaders
and even promoting them in government! It appears if there is any thinking or
talk not in line with the party in power, it is anti national and beware? What
hypocracy! There is such a lot of venom and hate, references to past wrongs of
others justifying similar actions! How can people like Mayawati refuse to honor
the Supreme Court long overdue directive to vacate their illegally occupied
accomodation or Akilesh Yadav dare ask for 2 year extension as he cannot find
any alternative accomodation! A scandalous junket to USA for the Ajgaonkars and
Chief secretary too with chairman GTDC reportedly joinning in, all rules and
guidelines flaunted. There is a Tourism Department and a separate Tourism
Corporation! The common man is unfairly heavily taxed, fuel and prices of daily
living items going out of his reach. No one consults him for anything. How much
more poison will be injected into the body politics of democracy is anyone's
guess. Politics of expediency to the fore, rule of law going for a toss,
honesty, integrity, loyalty rare with loss of moral values and compassion for
the common man. Self serving politicians. Parties lock up their candidates in
five star resorts in fear and to prevent poaching, with no guarantee of cross
voting till the last minute. Sorry state of Indian democracy indeed!
