GNUKhata is a made-in-India free and open accounting software based on double entry bookkeeping. It is being built under the leadership of Krishnakant Mane, a visually-challenged software engineer and researcher. It provides basic bookkeeping including ten types of vouchers; viewing of ledger both single and dual; three types of trial balance, namely Net, Gross and Extended; cash flow report; project statement (or cost center); balance sheet both in traditional and sources and application style; bank reconciliation module; three levels of user security, admin, manager and operator.
GNUKhata has a unified version for both desktop and cloud/LAN. Now GST compliant. All documents including invoices and Delivary notes are as per GST regulations.
