Dear Venantius and Roland
Silence is not Golden! ...... But Actions speak louder than Words.
Goanet is a great forum for Goans to dialog with each other. Yet that should
be just the start.So let me cut to the chase and throw this idea:
Why do not Venantius and Roland organize a 1-2 week art exhibit of Goan
artists? This exhibit to begin with can be displayed in New York and Toronto.
Likely with that success, other GOA groups will invite this exhibit to their
big cites. Colleges, senior citizen centers, community halls - like Moose,
Elks, VFW, schools or church halls, could serve as good venues. The organizers
could keep a small part of the purchase price of the art sold, to defray the
expense of the exhibit.
Artists (and other experts) after getting to be renowned, get their
satisfaction by leaving a legacy in the next generation that they have
influenced.
