Narendra Modi, without doubt has the most difficult responsibility in the world.

To take an undisciplined, barely literate but democratic country, bound by
laws, tradition and a culture more suitable to the nineteenth century, cannot
be any easy task. One small slip or a natural tragedy and there’s hell to pay.

The job of the US president or that of Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party
is a snap of the fingers by comparison. Those two countries have all the
advantages that India doesn’t have without most of the disadvantages that India
has.

So the next time you call him a chaiwala or any other name without having the
misfortune of walking in his shoes, show a little compassion.
