The Secretariat at Porvorim may be Goa’s seat of Power, but since February this year the State’s administration has been sought to be governed from the bed of various hospitals and clinics around the Globe.
>From the Goa Medical College at Bambolim to Mumbai’s Lilavati and then from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York to Dukle’s clinic at Candolim in Goa, a beleaguered Manohar Parrikar has been attempting to function as Chief Minister from them all, with now having finally landed up at the All India Institute of Medical Science in Delhi after being air lifted there last week for what we are told is further treatment where is currently kept in isolation. With that veil of utter confusion and contradictions on the health of the Chief Minister, and with Manohar Parrikar desperately clinging on to the Chief Minister’s Chair which he will just not let go, it is infact our Goa that has been languishing in a State of Coma without any care while Manohar Parrikar is hopping around with the Goa Government for over seven months being run from a hospital bed.
