*Dr. Muktesh Chander* (Director General of Police, Goa) Sir, Can you recall the occasion when I visited your office in relation to crimes being perpetrated by Ajju Sindolli? You told me, personally, to bring you the evidence against Sindolli and that you would “have him arrested”. Those were almost exactly your own words …. and I have witnesses to your statement. Well, sir, I have indeed done your job for you and brought you some clear-cut evidence. In fact, I have emailed it to you on numerous occasions. All I ask now is that you stick to your side of the deal. *For completeness, although I do not wish to labour the point again, I have attached documentary evidence which PROVES that Ajju Sindolli has committed offences which contravene the Passport Act, 1967. Furthermore, as it has now been very firmly established that Sindolli’s intention was to deceive the authorities and the People of Goa, my contention is that he should now also be charged with Fraud for those same offences, under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.* Sir, even some of your own lower-ranking officers (PSI level) are now advising us that this should be the next stage and that *we should push for an FIR to be registered against Sindolli, specifically in relation to the passport offences*. Well, if they can see that this is the obvious next step, then why can’t you? *Sir, I fully understand that you are facing your own personal problems at the moment, especially with the topic of one of the corruption allegations against you having been raised in the Assembly by MLA Alexio Lourenco. But do you not realise that your persistent failure to act against a known crook like Sindolli may be seen by some as a sign of your collusion and guilt? At least, that is the way I see it myself!* There is now a reasonable amount of evidence to suggest that Ajju Sindolli is / has been involved in some sort of prostitution racket, with young girls supplied at numerous late-night pool-parties at his villa in Tivim, to influential businessmen and public servants. Now, I am not suggesting for one minute that you have attended such a party yourself, but Sindolli does appear to have a rigid stranglehold over the whole of Goa Police, yourself included. My only conclusion is that you DARE NOT have Ajju Sindolli arrested …. just in case he starts to open his mouth and spill the beans to the Press. *Sir, if that is NOT the case …. and you have absolutely nothing to fear by having Ajju Sindolli arrested and charged, then my simple suggestion and request is that you do so. Otherwise, some of the 200 or so other recipients of this email may start asking even more questions about your credibility as a top police officer, leading to even more allegations of corruption.* *Sir, it is absolutely clear to me that you are not doing your job properly. My only hope is that some other senior police officer will put his duty to Goan society and his duty to India before his own allegiance to his corrupt colleagues.* I am not an unreasonable man and I do not ask much of you. In fact, all I ask is that you do your job. Yours sincerely, David N. Cleaver (UK)
