I would much appreciate if you could post this small tribute to Margaret Mascarenhas. Margaret Mascarenhas In Memorium
Deeply saddened with the passing away of Ms. Margaret Mascarenhas, a friend, a cousin, a well-known writer, poet, novelist, environmentalist, and social worker who contributed significantly to the Literary scene of Goa. I fondly remember the days she spent at my home in NY at which time she was writing Skin and I was writing The Sting of Peppercorns, and each of us commented on our mutual works. To quote Roland Barthes in The Death of the Author: Literature is that neuter, that composite, that oblique into which every subject escapes, the trap where all identity is lost, beginning with the very identity of the body that writes. RIP Margaret you will be solely missed, but your writings will remain for posterity.
