WHY THESE PRIORITIES DURING COVID ? Instead of the Centre monitoring the States and coordinating the battle against the deadly novel Corona virus (which is mutating and no one is certain about anything. A hasty vaccine may not be the answer) which is spreading like wildfire, people dying, those cured getting reinfected with top scientists/doctors learning something new everyday like how it not only infects the lungs but other organs and those cured having lasting morbidities, reinfection etc, politicians seem busy in toppling governments, holding grand functions where the PM and even cabinet ministers will attend, not putting on hold excessive expenses and on items that can wait, and no visible austerity measures by them, when petrol/deiesel and essential utility/ commodities prices are skyrocketting for the common man every day! But there is no time to discuss import matters like the budget and in Goa one day hurried Assembly session to pass ordinances and everything without proper procedure! People are getting fleeced everywhere. As live brioadcasts on the TV channels show, in hospitals, pharmacies, grocery shops, police stations, utility bills, and even in the graveyards to burry their dead. The people have to suffer it all without any say. Is coercion to cover the wrong decisions and unfullfilled promises implementation? Unless we all act unitedly, we are all going to be in dire financial and medical emergencies! And the blame will lie sorely with the government.
